Leather essentials for work and travel

Professional style goes beyond what you wear. Consider what you carry.

Everyday essentials

Before choosing a work bag, lay out the laptop, charger, notebook, and other things that leave home with you. Separate what you need at the desk from what stays packed. That makes the choice more concrete than choosing a bag for a job title or dress code.

Then choose how you want to carry that load: by hand, on a shoulder strap, or in a backpack. Try your current setup on the walk or commute you actually make. Check your device measurements against the laptop compartment before ordering, even when the advertised screen size matches.

When you prefer a briefcase

Compare the opening and the way the laptop is stored. The Workday pairs a magnetic flap with a main zipper; the Nomad lets the laptop leave in its removable case. Choose the arrangement you will use during the day, then check the loaded bag against your preferred way of carrying it.

  • Workday Briefcase

A briefcase with a magnetic flap, zip closure, and room for the working day.

  • Nomad Briefcase

A simple work bag with quick-access pockets and a removable laptop sleeve.

  • Legacy Briefcase

A full-grain leather briefcase with a luggage pass-through for travel days.

When you prefer a backpack

The laptop layout is a useful dividing line: Slim Workplace has a built-in padded section, while Nomad has a removable case. Eagle adds two main compartments when you want work equipment separated from the rest of the day’s load.

When the bag already works

Solve the smaller problem first. Measure the free desk surface before adding a pad, compare a sleeve with the complete device dimensions, and lay out your charger and adapters before choosing an organizer. You may need one of these pieces rather than a new bag.

Travel essentials

Begin with the trip ahead. Lay out what you need, decide how you want to carry it, and choose the space that fits that load.

A weekender, a backpack, and a small organizer each have a different job. Keep the work equipment in your trial load when comparing capacity. For flights, check the loaded bag against the current limits for your airline and fare; a “travel” label does not establish cabin-baggage acceptance.

When you need one open packing space

Lay out clothing, shoes, and toiletries before choosing the bag. An open main compartment lets you arrange that load yourself; a separate dopp kit is useful when you want to move toiletries out together. Check the external dimensions as well as capacity.

  • Nomad Weekender

A 34-liter travel bag with a firm base and a removable shoulder strap.

  • Nomad Dopp Kit

A compact companion for toiletries and smaller travel essentials.

When work gear travels with clothing

Decide which job the bag needs to do. The Dolomites Weekender provides an open clothing compartment and a removable pouch for shoes or laundry. The Travel Backpack keeps the laptop in a removable case. Choose around the load you will actually carry, not the longest trip you can imagine.

When you prefer the Legacy layout

Compare the form before choosing the leather: a duffel for a larger clothing load, a backpack for a smaller setup, or an organizer if your existing bag already fits. These are different carrying options, not pieces that have to be bought together.

Consider what you carry

Write down the job before choosing: “carry my laptop separately into meetings,” “keep lunch apart from documents,” or “hold clothing while my work bag stays as it is.” Compare the product’s layout with that job, check the measurements and selected color’s availability, and keep the pieces you already own when they still work.
