Repair

Before a bag repair

Prepare clear photos of your bag and the issue, protect personal details, and contact Nordweg before sending anything for repair.

The short answer

Start with a photo of the whole bag, a clear close-up of the issue, and enough context to show where it is. These are useful preparation tips, not a fixed Nordweg photo requirement or a diagnosis.

Useful views to prepare

The whole bag

Photograph the bag in even light with its full shape in frame. This helps show which panel, pocket, or strap is affected.

The issue up close

Take a sharp photo of the mark, seam, zipper, or hardware. Keep the camera steady and avoid glare. Do not pull a seam apart or force a broken component to make the photo clearer.

Its position and size

Take a second view that shows the issue in relation to the nearby edge, zipper, or handle. If scale is unclear, place a ruler nearby without pressing it into the leather.

The other side, if accessible

If the affected area is visible from inside, photograph it without pulling out a fixed lining or taking the bag apart. Skip this view if it requires forcing anything.

The exact piece

Include the product name or another identifying detail you already have. A model name from your order confirmation is more useful than guessing from a color.

Write a short description

Say what changed, where it is, and when you first noticed it. If a component stops working, describe what it does rather than trying to name a technical cause.

For a warranty request, Nordweg asks you to contact the team with your order number or proof of purchase, a short description, and photos. Share purchase details privately through our support contact; keep order numbers, addresses, and other personal details out of publicly posted images.

Wait for the next step before shipping

The current warranty page asks you to contact Nordweg first and wait for instructions before sending a product for service. Photos help begin the review, but they cannot establish repairability or warranty coverage by themselves.

Covered bag categories have a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use; wallets and accessories have 180 days. The policy explains exclusions and shipping responsibilities. Outside the warranty period, the team can review whether a repair is possible and provide a quote before any paid work.

If stitching or hardware loosens

Stop using the product and contact Nordweg. Do not glue a seam, burn a loose thread, or dismantle the bag to obtain a photograph.
